Ottawa residents should expect bouts of both sunshine and showers as the month of August arrives at an end. According to Environment Canada’s weather forecast, rain is possible for the final three days of the month, though some sunshine will also peak through. Saturday will be mostly sunny throughout the day and early evening, but there will be a 40 per cent chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms beginning around 8 p.m. The temperature will reach a high of 23 C, and the overnight low is 17 C. On Sunday, expect a high of 23 C with a chance of showers. On Monday, the final day of the month, expect 25 C and a chance of showers. September is also set to kick off with rain, as showers and a high of 25 C are expected again on Tuesday.
