O-Train Lines 2 and 4 are now running six days a week, as OC Transpo shifts into the second phase of the launch of the new north-south LRT system.
The new system opened on January 6, with OC Transpo offering service Monday to Friday for at least the first two weeks of service.
OC Transpo general manager Renée Amilcar says starting today, Line 2 and Line 4 are now running Monday to Saturday, with the first Saturday service offered on Saturday, Jan. 25.
“OC Transpo has closely monitored the performance of the system since the start of revenue service on January 6 to ensure consistently safe and reliable service delivery,” Amilcar said in a memo last week.
“This includes assessing a number of factors, such as overall system operation, stability of staffing levels, full fleet availability, completion of all maintenance activities and that staff are able to respond appropriately to address any service issues when they arise.”

The city is launching the new Line 2 and Line 4 in three phases. Phase two will see service running Monday to Saturday for a minimum of two weeks. Phase three would see the O-Train operate service Monday to Sunday.
The B2 parallel bus service continues to run during the three-phase launch of Lines 2 and 4, and routes 99 and 97 will continue to provide service.
O-Train Line 2 runs between Bayview Station and Limebank Station, and Line 4 operates between South Keys Station and the Ottawa Airport, with a stop near the EY Centre.
