OPP investigating collision with critical injuries in Rideau Lakes area

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a collision in the Rideau Lakes area involving critical injuries.

It happened Monday afternoon in the area of Highway 15 and County Road 42, about 50 kilometres west of Brockville.

OPP said one person sustained critical injuries and was transported to hospital by Leeds

Grenville paramedics. No other details were released.

It happened as heavy snow falls across eastern Ontario. A Winter weather travel advisory from Environment Canada is in effect warning of reduced visibility and accumulating snow on the roads.

The intersection will remain closed as police investigate.
