Ontario Provincial Police are looking to speak to a witness to a head-on crash near Cornwall that killed three people.
The crash happened on County Road 2, near McGibbon Road, at around 9 p.m. on March 13. The OPP says an eastbound vehicle had crossed into the westbound lanes, forcing at least two other drivers to swerve. Moments later, two vehicles collided head-on and one caught fire.
A 16-year-old girl from Champlain Township, a 44-year-old man from Ottawa and a 65-year-old woman from Cornwall died in the crash. A 16-year-old boy from Cornwall was injured.
In a post on X, the OPP said they were looking for the driver of a vehicle who might have information about the crash.
“Is this your car or do you recognize it?” OPP said. “This person’s input could assist with the investigation. Three people died in the collision and another person was seriously hurt.”
The driver, or anyone who recognizes the car, is asked to contact the Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident E250304292.
