The Ontario Provincial police (OPP) is seeking video footage of a possible firearm-related incident on Highway 417 that started in an eastern Ontario village and ended in Ottawa last week.

The investigation started on April 4 when police received a call shortly after 8 p.m. reporting a vehicle was being followed on the highway by a grey car from the Casselman area to the exit of the highway at Nicolas Street in the capital, the OPP says.

Police say the victim also reported that their vehicle “had been struck by a projectile, possibly a BB gun pellet.”

“The victim reported that the suspect vehicle had been behaving in a strange manner, by not allowing her to switch lanes and matching her speed,” the OPP said in a news release Thursday.

The suspect vehicle is described as grey with dark-tinted windows.

The incident started shortly before 7 p.m. and ended just before 7:30 p.m.

Anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the incident between the specified time is asked to call the Ottawa OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident E250404384.
