Ontario Provincial Police say four drivers were charged with stunt driving on Highway 417 in Ottawa Thursday night.
Police said the drivers were all stopped in the west end of the city. going between 155 km/h and 169 km/h on the highway.
Each driver faces an automatic roadside licence suspension of 30 days, and each vehicle has been impounded for 14 days. The drivers’ licences could each be suspended for an additional year upon conviction. They would also be facing $2,000 fines and six demerit points.
In addition to the four drivers facing stunt driving charges, one driver was charged with not having insurance.
The uninsured driver faces a minimum $5,000 fine upon conviction.
