Police investigating shooting in residential building along Bank Street

The Ottawa Police Service is asking the public for help in identifying a vehicle involved in a shooting that happened Wednesday evening inside a residential building on Bank Street, near Billings Bridge Shopping Centre.

Police say they received a call around 10:15 p.m. reporting shots fired inside a residential building in the 1300 block of Bank Street.

When police arrived at the scene, they located shell casings. No injuries were reported.

The city’s police service is asking people who may have dashcam video, or who were travelling southbound on Bank Street between 9:55 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. to come forward.

“Police are looking to identify a disabled vehicle that was parked under the OC Transpo Transitway, south of Riverside Drive, during that time,” police said in a news release Friday.

They have released a photo of the vehicle.
