Police searching for man last seen entering Ottawa River on paddleboard

The Ottawa Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing paddleboarder who was last seen Saturday afternoon.

In a news release, police say Robson Florentino, 38, was last seen entering the Ottawa River at around 5:30 p.m. from the Gatineau side across from Andrew Haydon Park.

Police say there are concerns about his well-being.

Florentino is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair, about 5-foot-7-inches tall with a muscular build.

He was wearing red shorts and a baseball hat.
