Ontario Provincial Police in Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry are investigating their second fatal motorcycle collision of the weekend, after a motorcyclist from Cornwall died in a crash on Saturday. According to police, officers responded to a crash on County Road 43 near County Road 30 in North Glengarry Township around 3:30 p.m. Police say their initial investigation indicates “a passenger vehicle turned left in front of an oncoming motorcycle.” The rider of the motorcycle, a 77-year-old man, was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries. Roads were closed in the area following the incident, but they have since reopened. This is the second fatal motorcycle collision in the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry United Counties this weekend. On Friday, a 37-year-old man from Winchester died in a crash near Chesterville. Police say the investigation into Saturday’s crash is ongoing.
