Ontario Provincial Police have reopened the westbound lanes of Highway 417 in Ottawa on Saturday evening following a 10-vehicle crash.
Emergency services closed the highway between Metcalfe Street and Bronson Avenue at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The highway had reopened by approximately 9 p.m., according to a post to social media by Ottawa police.
OPP say five people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic cameras showed significant backups along the Queensway while the road was closed.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
