Milky Way above log home Here's a photo of the O'Shea family log home with the Milky Way above, and a bonus meteor descending over the house.
The O'Shea family emigrated from Ireland into the predominantly Scottish area of Glengarry county in the 1840s. This log home with broad fireplace, was built in1849 and was lived in by four generations of the O'Shea family. In 2020 it was moved a short distance to it's current location, and lovingly restored over a two and a half year period by members of the O'Shea and McDonald families. It was pleasure to meet with the family, to share family histories in common, and to be granted permission to photograph the Milky Way with this historic home as the foreground subject.
