Daniel “Juma” Atem, who was wanted in relation to the 2023 murder of 32-year-old Roman Miller in Regina, has been arrested.
According to the Regina Police Service (RPS), Atem was taken into custody on the evening of Jan. 15 in Winnipeg, Man.
He faces one count of first-degree murder.
Atem, 31, was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant following the fatal shooting of Miller in the early morning hours of July 29, 2023.
Miller was gunned down exiting a business on the 2100 block of Broad Street.
A second suspect turned himself into police in B.C. in February of 2024 – while Atem remained at large for the better part of two years.
In early 2024, Atem was added to the “Top 25 Most Wanted List” by the BOLO Program. A $50,000 reward was offered for any information leading to his arrest.
The accused made his first appearance in provincial court in Winnipeg on Thursday.
He is expected to be transported back to Regina – where a court date is still pending.
