Regina police say man’s death east of downtown was a homicide

WATCH: Regina police are investigating the city’s third homicide of 2025 after a man was found fatally injured east of downtown on Thursday.

Regina police are seeking tips in a homicide investigation after a man was found fatally injured east of downtown Thursday morning.

Officers and EMS were called to the 800 block of Victoria Avenue around 5:30 a.m. where they found an injured man who was pronounced dead soon after their arrival.

A portion of Victoria Avenue was blocked to traffic while a death investigation took place.

In an update on Thursday, police said the death was a homicide, the city’s third of 2025. Regina police said it won’t be providing the victim’s name at this time.

No arrests or charges have been announced by police as of Friday afternoon.
