More than 13,000 babies were born in Saskatchewan in 2024, with the province creating a preliminary total count of 13,189 live births registered. These were the top 20 names for boys and girls, according to data collected by the province.

On the boy’s side, the province says Henry jumped from 18th place in 2023 to the top spot – bumping Oliver down to second.
Lincoln, Emmett, Ethan and Luke did not return to the list for 2024.
For girls, Sophia moved into the top spot after being held by Olivia for nine years.
Brielle, Nora, Evelyn and Sophie did not return this year after appearing in the top 20 in 2023.
The list does not include Saskatchewan mothers who gave birth outside the province.
According to the province, eHealth is still completing birth registrations from the end of 2024. The number of live births in the province in 2023 was 13,080.
