The Yorkton Terriers have traded their captain to the Weyburn Red Wings.

Forward Dexter Robinson, 20, was traded to the Red Wings in exchange for forward Matthew Jones and future considerations.

Robinson was a Terrier for two and a half years, racking up 45 points over 143 games with Yorkton. The Kamloops, B.C. native was named captain heading into this season.

Jones, 19, joined the Red Wings at the beginning of the season and played 22 games, getting 1 goal and 2 assists. Last season he played in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the Lloydminster Bobcats, getting 8 points in 43 games played.

The Terriers next game is on Wednesday when they visit the Estevan Bruins.
