A woman is facing several charges after an alleged stabbing in Yorkton late last week.
According to RCMP, on April 17 around 7 p.m., officers received a report of a serious assault at a home on Bradbrooke Drive in Yorkton.
Police responded immediately – finding an injured man outside the home. Officers began administering first aid before paramedics arrived and transported the victim to hospital.
The man’s injuries were described as “serious in nature.”
Police found and arrested a woman inside the home. While executing a search warrant, officers seized an edged weapon.

Immediately following the incident, a graphic image circulated online of what appeared to be the entrance to a building where the alleged stabbing took place.
A resident living in a condo near the scene told CTV News that his neighbours were known to be frequently fighting, and the police had been called on them in the past.
As a result, the 29-year-old accused faces one count of aggravated assault, one count of assault with a weapon, one count of resisting a peace officer, and one count of failure to comply with a probation order.
The accused made her first appearance in court on April 21.
