70-year-old man dead after vehicle rollover on Sask. highway

A 70-year-old man has been killed after a recent rollover on Highway 3.

The single-vehicle incident happened around noon Sunday about 10 kilometres east of Turtleford, a town located about 230 kilometres west of Prince Albert.

The crash caused RCMP to close the highway throughout the afternoon and put detours in place.

In a Monday update, Mounties say the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was taken to hospital by paramedics where he was later declared dead.

He’s been identified as a 70-year-old from the nearby Turtle Lake. His family has been notified.

Turtleford RCMP are continuing to investigate along with an RCMP collision reconstructionist.
