It has been two years since Aaron Gamble’s body was found in a dumpster, and his family is still left without answers.

On March 24, 2023, the 54-year-old Saskatchewan man was found dead in the 2300 block of 17th Street West in Saskatoon.

Emilia Greyeyes says not knowing what happened or who hurt her brother has taken an emotional toll.

“It’s been trying. It’s been tough. The waiting and being patient is a lot to take on,” Greyeyes said.

Saskatoon police suspect foul play was involved. They released a video showing three people walking up to a dumpster and placing a large container in it. Later that day, Gamble’s body was found inside that dumpster.

Greyeyes said the video is “disgusting” and “hurtful.”

“The way he was murdered and thrown away like garbage, nobody in this world deserves that,” she said.

She said Gamble was a father who had his Bachelor of Education and taught in First Nation communities for years but struggled with addictions prior to his death.

“He was the sweetest, kindest, loving person that you would ever want to meet. Yes, his lifestyle took a different turn, but it never changed him,” she said.

Greyeyes has vowed to wear a “Justice for Aaron Gamble” shirt every day until arrests are made.

She said someone out there knows something that can help solve her brother’s case.

In a statement to CTV News, Saskatoon police say they continue to investigate Gamble’s death and encourage anyone with relevant information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
