Saskatoon police are investigating after two men were stabbed in two separate incidents on Thursday evening.

The first incident was reported around 6 p.m. at 22nd Street and Avenue P, where a 41-year-old man was stabbed, tasered, and sprayed with bear mace.

Police say the victim, suffering from a stab wound, told officers that a group of men and women attacked him down the street, at Avenue P, using bear spray, a Taser, and a knife.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that police described as non-life-threatening.

Two hours later, around 8 p.m., officers were called to a residence in the 200 block of Avenue N South, where police say a 26-year-old man was suffering from injuries, including a stab wound.

Police say their preliminary investigation shows the victim had returned to the home after being assaulted by four males in the alley behind a business in the 1500 block of 20th Street West.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incidents to call police or Crime Stoppers.
