Massage therapist charged with sexual assault, police say there may be more victims

Thong (Tony) TRAN, 55, of Brampton, was arrested on May 11 by York Regional Police and charged with sexual assault

York Regional Police have arrested a registered massage therapist in connection with a sexual assault in Vaughan.

It happened May 9 after a female victim attended a massage appointment at a wellness clinic in the area of Rutherford Road and Vellore Woods Boulevard, police said in a news release.

Investigators say that during the massage, the suspect began to touch the victim for a sexual purpose.

On May 11, police arrested Thong (Tony) Tran, 55, of Brampton. He has been charged with sexual assault.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
