Hamilton police investigating ‘targeted’ home invasion, searching for 3 masked men

Hamilton police are seeking the public’s help following an early morning home invasion that they believe was “targeted” in the Mountain Butler neighbourhood.

In a news release, officials say the incident happened in the area of Rymal Road East and Arrowhead Drive shortly after 4 a.m. where they allege three masked men forced their way into the home.

Police say one suspect was armed with a firearm and demanded money from the homeowners.

No injuries have been reported.

However, the suspect vehicle is described as being “a dark sedan, possibly a Honda Civic.”

“At this time, the police are actively seeking any potential witnesses to this incident and urge anyone with information to come forward,” officials wrote, adding that residents are encouraged to check for video surveillance.
