A man has been charged with nine counts of sexual assault involving nine female victims who were allegedly “inappropriately touched” while walking in Coquitlam last year, the RCMP announced Wednesday.

The “series” of sexual assaults occurred between Dec. 4 and Dec. 7 of 2024 and a suspect was arrested on Dec. 8, the Coquitlam RCMP said in a news release.

Daniel Landy, 25, was charged on Jan. 28. He is not currently in custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for March 20, according to online records.

“Landy’s sexual assault allegations relate to inappropriate touching of persons as they walked in public areas of Coquitlam,” the statement from police said.

Mounties are asking anyone additional victims or witnesses to call 604-945-1550 and quote file 2024-32060.
