A motorcyclist has been hospitalized after a crash on Highway 1 in Burnaby, B.C., Sunday afternoon.
Paramedics were called to the major highway’s Gaglardi Way exit at around 12:20 p.m., an Emergency Health Services spokesperson said in a statement Sunday afternoon.
Two ambulances attended the scene and paramedics provided emergency treatment to one patient, who was transported to hospital in critical condition, the statement said.
Shortly after 2 p.m. DriveBC cautioned drivers of a closure on the Gaglardi Way overpass in both directions.
“Crews are on scene, pass with caution,” it said.
The road has since reopened in all directions.
