Missing man in New Westminster, B.C., found, say police

A man who was reported missing Thursday has been found, say the New Westminster Police Department.

The man, described by police only as John, was last seen in the 300 block of Alberta Street around 11 a.m., according to a statement issued by the New Westminster Police Department Thursday evening.

He was located at around 11 a.m. Friday, in downtown Vancouver.

The NWPD said it would like to thank the Vancouver Police Department for their assistance in finding the missing man.

“This was the outcome we were all hoping for,” said Sgt. Andrew Leaver, Friday.

“This was a true team effort in locating John and reuniting him with his loved ones. Our deepest thanks to all the community members who lent a hand and looked for him.”
