Police in Surrey have released a photo of a vehicle that a woman may have been forced into against her will last week, along with an appeal for witnesses and information.
The incident under investigation occurred on April 4 around 9 p.m., near the intersection of King George Boulevard and 92 Avenue, according to the Surrey Police Service.
“A man driving a vehicle, and a female pedestrian were observed having an argument. While the incident is still under investigation, police believe the woman may have gotten into the vehicle against her will and the two left the area,” a news release from the department said.
“While police are still investigating the nature of the interaction, it is believed that the man and woman know each other.”
The woman is described as South Asian and in her mid-20s and police said she was wearing a white shirt and black pants when she was seen getting into the vehicle. Police do not have a detailed description of the man but said he is believed to be in his mid-20s.
The vehicle is a black Dodge Grand Caravan “with a distinctive large white paper or sign affixed to the rear passenger-side window,” according to the SPS.
