OPP clear area following ‘active investigation’ in Essex County

All OPP resources have cleared the area following an active investigation in the Town of Colchester Sunday morning.

According to a social media post from OPP West Region, Essex County OPP had warned residents of an increased police presence in the area of Roseann Drive in the town of Colchester due to an “active investigation.”

In an update from shortly after 12 p.m., police say all OPP resources had cleared the area.

Police say there was no threat to public safety.

It remains unclear what the investigation pertained to and whether any arrests were made.
