Active investigation launched related to man armed with butcher knife

Windsor police say there is a heavy police presence in the 300 block of McEwan Avenue as officers conduct an active investigation related to a man with a butcher knife.

The suspect is described as an East Indian male wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and black shoes.

Police say he is believed to be armed with a butcher knife.

If you see the suspect, do not approach. Call 911 immediately.

Officers are asking the public to avoid the area.
