Essex County OPP officers have charged a Kingsville man after a break and enter investigation at an abandoned building in Leamington.
Officers, the OPP Canine Unit and OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) were called to an abandoned building at 125 Talbot Street West for the report of a break-in in progress on April 12 at 12:14 p.m.
An individual was located within the building and placed under arrest.
As a result, a 40-year-old man has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
Break, enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on May 21.
