Anyone near the riverfront can expect to see a large presence of emergency and Naval personnel on the Detroit River this weekend.

The Royal Canadian Naval Reserve HMCS Hunter is leading a large-scale training exercise.

The annual Border Sentinel emergency preparedness training is planned for Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 on the Detroit River.

Several marine units from emergency services, including the LaSalle Police Service, and community partners are participating in the training to prepare and co-ordinate for any major naval incident/operation in the future.
