Kingsville man charged after traffic complaint on Pelee Island

OPP officers have charged a Kingsville man with impaired driving after a traffic complaint on Pelee Island.

At 8:01 p.m. on Sunday, officers investigated a traffic complaint near the ferry docks in Leamington.

A 43-year-old Kingsville man was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

• Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
• Failure or refusal to comply with demand

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Windsor on Aug. 14, 2026, to answer to the charges.
