One arrested in $100,000 theft incidents, two wanted

Windsor police have arrested one suspect in connection to a string of break-ins. Two suspects are wanted.

Between Feb. 2 and April 13, the Windsor Police Service said it responded to three separate break-ins at businesses in the city.

In one incident, three suspects broke into a business at 2700 block of Etienne Boulevard three different times, taking manufacturing products. Police said the same suspects broke into the same property two more times at a different time, taking more items.

Items were also taken from a trailer at a business in the 4500 block of Rhodes Drive in another incident.

The value of items taken in all incidents is more than $100,000.

On April 29, a 57-year-old man turned himself in. He is facing six counts of break-and-enter with intent to commit theft, three counts of possession of break-and-enter tools, and one count of theft under $5,000.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Christopher Channing Chapman, 38, for two counts of break-and-enter with intent to commit theft, two counts of failure to comply with a release order, one count of possession of break-and-enter tools, and one count of theft under $5,000.

A third suspect who police have yet to identify is also wanted. He is described as a white man with olive skin, around 30 to 35 years old with brown hair.
