Police searching for suspect in Tecumseh Mall jewellery store robbery

Windsor police are searching for a suspect following a smash-and-grab robbery at a jewellery store in the Tecumseh Mall on Friday evening.

According to police, just after 5:00 p.m., a man wearing a face covering entered the jewellery store, and used a weapon to smash a display case.

The man then proceeded to steal roughly $50,000 of jewellery before fleeing in a black GMC Sierra in the parking lot.

The employees at the store were not injured.

Police describe the suspect as a white man approximately 6′ tall with a slender build. At the time he was wearing a blue scarf over his face, with a black baseball cap, black hooded sweater, orange and black gloves, black jeans, and white and black sneakers.

The black GMC Sierra is described as having chrome accents, chrome five-spoke wheels, and a Z71 decal on its bed.
