Showers, gusty winds and thunderstorms on tap for Windsor

Unsettled spring weather is expected in the Windsor area through the end of the workweek, bringing showers, strong winds and the risk of thunderstorms.

Today will be mainly cloudy, with a 40 per cent chance of showers this morning and the risk of a thunderstorm. Southwest winds will blow at 30 km/h, gusting to 50 km/h. The high will reach 26 C, with a humidex of 31. The UV index is expected to be 7, or high.

Cloudy conditions will continue tonight, with a few showers developing this evening and the risk of a thunderstorm late this evening and overnight. Rainfall amounts of five to 10 millimetres are possible. Southwest winds gusting to 50 km/h will ease near midnight, becoming light overnight. The low will be 16 C.

Showers are expected to taper off Wednesday morning, followed by cloudy skies and a 60 per cent chance of additional showers throughout the day. There remains a risk of thunderstorms, with another five to 10 millimetres of rain possible. Winds will become southwest at 20 km/h, gusting to 40 km/h. The high will be 20 C, with a humidex of 25 and a high UV index.

Showers are expected to continue Wednesday night, with temperatures dropping to 14 C.
