Spits fall to Sting in overtime in close game, Greentree brings home 100th career goal

The Windsor Spitfires were feeling the sting as they left Sarnia on Friday night.

The battle saw the two teams spar throughout, with a slew of goals from the Sting to open being answered with four straight for the Spits.

Ilya Protas and Spits captain Liam Greentree both walked home with two under their belt, with Greentree bringing home two assists as well, earning his 100th career goal.

The third period ended with the game in a tie, forcing overtime.

The Sting secured their victory in overtime, leaving the score at 6-5.

The Spitfires head to Flint for an evening game Saturday night.
