Windsor Farmers Market returns for 16th year

Published:

The Windsor Farmers’ Market is back this weekend and is looking for a bigger space next year.

A sure sign of spring, the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market returns Saturday bigger than ever.

“There’s a new push for, you know, buy Canadian shop local,” said Councillor Ronaldo Agostino. “You can be guaranteed that, you don’t have to check any labels at the farmers market.”

Pelissier Street between Wyandotte and Park: is expected to host more than 70 vendors Saturday morning, setting a new record according to the Downtown Windsor BIA.

It’s the sixteenth year the market has run, fresh off of being awarded “Market of the Year” by Farmers Markets Ontario.

It’s on from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
