The City of Winnipeg is giving residents the opportunity to weigh in on zoning changes that would see more infill housing in certain neighbourhoods.
Virtual events will take place on March 17 at 7 p.m., and March 18 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Those interested in participating are asked to email infillhousing@winnipeg.ca to register.
An in-person event will take place at the RBC Convention Centre on March 19 from 4 to 7 p.m.
The city is proposing a change to the zoning bylaw to allow development of two-unit, three-unit and four-unit homes and taller four-unit homes (up to 39 feet, or nearly 12 metres) on certain lots within an 800-metre walking distance of a frequent transit route.
The city said it will use feedback from the sessions to help draft the new bylaw.
