Colleen Bready’s forecast: A pleasant spring day before temperatures drop again

Published:

Colleen Bready has your current conditions and updated weather forecast for March 25, 2025.

It is shaping up to be a nice early spring day in Winnipeg, southern Manitoba and northwestern Ontario on Tuesday.

Most areas will enjoy sunshine or a mix of sun and clouds with forecast daytime highs between 4 C and 6 C this afternoon.

Brandon will fall a little short with a high of 2 C as the sky clears, while Winnipeg could climb to a sunny 7 C.

In the north, a new low pressure system is moving over the region on Tuesday, bringing snow to most northern communities.

With temperatures soaring well above the freezing mark in the northwest, Lynn Lake could also see rain showers early in the afternoon.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) said this is one of a couple of disturbances that will bring light snow to the region over the next 48 hours.

The weather agency added a total of 2 to 6 cm of fresh snow is likely over parts of the north by Wednesday evening.

Speaking of Wednesday, Winnipeg could enjoy its first double-digit temperature day with a forecast high of 10 C under a mix of sun and cloud.

Don’t get too used to those temperatures just yet; they will drop back closer to the freezing mark later in the week with the possibility of snow on Thursday night and Friday.
