Overall, conditions are relatively quiet for a winter day on Friday. Scattered snow continues to fall lightly across much of Manitoba and northwestern Ontario this afternoon.

Some areas, including Thompson, will swap snow for sunshine later in the day.

Light snow will taper off Friday evening in the south but will linger longest in the northwest. Intermittent snow is expected to continue in Flin Flon and The Pas throughout the night and on Saturday.

Now that the low that brought significant snowfall to parts of the south earlier this week has moved off, colder air has moved into the region. Be prepared for below-normal temperatures to continue in the south until the middle of next week before a nice warmup around Thursday.

Colder temperatures aside, Saturday will be cloudy in Winnipeg with the chance of another dusting of light snow.

Partial sunshine will return by Sunday, ahead of the coldest night over the next week. Temperatures could drop into the mid-minus 20s on Sunday night.
