A fifth suspect has been charged with in connection with the death of a 28-year-old Winnipeg woman last year.
Ashley Murdock, 28, was found dead in an apartment building in the 300 block of Kennedy Street on July 5, 2024.
Dregus Daniel Young, 24, has now been charged with first-degree murder in her death.
As part of the investigation, four people were initially arrested and charged.
Kelly Marie Kroeker, 32, was charged with second-degree murder. Kenneth Charles Young, 28, was originally charged with accessory to murder, but his charge was upgraded to first-degree murder.
Devon Charlie Colomb, 26, and 38-year-old Charles Harold Wood were both charged with accessory to murder.
The charges against all five suspects have not been proven in court.
