It is a soggy Wednesday across southern Manitoba.

Showers or drizzle this afternoon will end this evening in most areas, including Winnipeg and Brandon. In most areas, daytime highs between 6 C and 8 C are expected.

The southeast corner around Sprague can’t rule out a few flurries earlier this afternoon until temperatures warm up enough to flip over to showers.

The same can be said for northwestern Ontario.

In northwestern Manitoba, expect light rain or showers in The Pas Wednesday afternoon. The chance of showers decreases considerably further north in Flin Flon, but can’t be ruled out entirely.

Other areas will be cloudy, including Thompson and Norway House.

The northeast will enjoy a brighter day in the sunshine, courtesy of a ridge of high pressure.

Wednesday evening, fog patches could develop across the south, which could reduce visibility.

Cloudy conditions will continue on Thursday, at least in the morning. High pressure building from the west will clear the sky over the course of the afternoon from west to east, bringing late-day sunshine to Winnipeg.

Friday will be fabulous in Winnipeg. Look for a mix of sun and cloud, with a soaring forecast high of 16 C.
