Winnipeg police have arrested a man following a crash in July that left two people with “life-altering injuries.”
The incident happened on Lagimodiere Boulevard at the intersection of East Mint Place around 10:20 a.m.
The crash involved a vehicle and two semi-trucks.
Police said a man in the vehicle was taken to hospital and later upgraded to stable condition. Meanwhile, a woman in the vehicle was airlifted to hospital in critical condition by STARS.
“Both suffered life-altering injuries as a result of the collision,” police said in a news release Thursday.

After the crash, police said there was also a dog in the vehicle, but it got away safely.
Following an investigation, police arrested a 29-year-old man on March 10, 2025, and he has been charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm.
Police said he has been detained in custody. The charges against him haven’t been tested in court.
