Some Manitobans should be getting their hands on new health cards shortly.
The province has confirmed that new plastic health cards should be received by people who have applied for them in the coming days.
A spokesperson for the province said more than 200,000 Manitobans have applied for the new plastic card.
The cards, which are said to be more durable that the existing paper cards, were a campaign promise by the NDP in the 2023 election. The government has also promised a digital version of the cards in the future.
Applications for a plastic card can be made online.
