Six people have been charged in connection with the death of a 30-year-old man found in the back lane of a West End neighbourhood.
Bronson Emery Dale Kequahtooway, from Zagime Anishinabek First Nation in Saskatchewan, was found dead on March 28 in the 700 block of Wellington Avenue.
Police have arrested six people in connection with Kequahtooway’s death.
Eric Matthew Morrissette, 39, was arrested on April 9 in the 400 block of McDermot Avenue, and was charged with second-degree murder. He was also charged with two firearms-related charges.
On April 14, 28-year-old Frederick Francis Mathias Baker was arrested at Milner Ridge Correctional Centre, where he was in custody on an unrelated matter. He was also charged with second-degree murder.
Police have also arrested 20-year-old Jeromy Daniel Smith, 43-year-old Richard Allen Penonzek, 28-year-old Rochelle Hanna Bella Little, and 28-year-old Alana Katherine Edith Anderson in connection with the death. The four have been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
All six remain in custody, and none of the charges have been proven in court.
