Two more of Winnipeg’s 7-Eleven locations have closed up shop.
The store at Jefferson Avenue and Sheppard Street and the location at Salter Street and Flora Avenue location are boarded up, with ‘closed’ signs out front.
This news comes just months after four other 7-Eleven locations closed in the city, with some city councillors attributing these closures to losses brought on by crime.
According to the mayor’s office, Scott Gillingham recently met with 7-Eleven representatives to discuss retail crime and their plans for future restructuring. The mayor’s office said its confident the company will continue to maintain a strong presence in the city.
