The Manitoba government is looking for opinions on the design of the new emergency department (ED) planned for Victoria Hospital.
A town hall has been scheduled for May 6, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the South Winnipeg Community Centre Fort Richmond location at 666 Silverstone Avenue.
A consolation is also happening April 15, 2025, with Victoria Hospital staff.
If you can’t attend the in-person events, the province said there will be an online survey where people can leave feedback.
The old Victoria Hospital ED closed to become an urgent care facility in 2017.
The province has earmarked $3.5 million in funding to start the process to design and build a new Victoria ED and a new centre for mature women’s health in Budget 2025.
Construction tenders are expected to go out later this year.
