Home care patients are being asked to prepare for possible delays or cancellations.
In a Thursday night media release, the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) said Friday’s blizzard conditions could impact transportation and access to clients. It asked clients to consider initiating their own backup and storm plans.
The WRHA is apologizing in advance if there are any disruptions and noted if a visit is cancelled or postponed, the client will be contacted by phone.
It asked clients to call 204-788-8331 if they wish to cancel or postpone their home care visit.
