The City of Winnipeg is looking at adding new parking restrictions on St. Mary’s Road during peak periods of traffic.
According to a new report, the city’s public service is making the following recommendations:
- Adding a no stopping restriction from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on northbound St. Mary’s Road from Dunkirk Drive/Dakota Street to Fermor Avenue in places where there are no afternoon restrictions.
- Adding a no stopping restriction from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the two-lane section of southbound St. Mary’s Road from Dunkirk Drive/Dakota Street to Fermor Avenue in places where there are no morning restrictions.
- Extending the current 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. no stopping restriction on southbound St. Mary’s Road from Dunkirk Drive/Dakota Street to 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Adding a no stopping at anytime restriction on northbound St. Mary’s Road from Glen Avenue to Fermor Avenue.
The report will be discussed by the standing policy committee on public works on April 14. The full report can be found online.
