The Canadian Forces Snowbirds attracted thousands of spectators for an historic performance in Saint John this weekend. Air Show Atlantic, held at the Saint John Airport, marked the final appearance for the Snowbirds flying the CT-114 Tutor in Atlantic Canada prior to the aircraft being retired. The demonstration team is set to take an extended hiatus from the sky, with performances expected to begin again in the early 2030s. “Over 10,000 people have came out to see this air show,” says Court Edeburn, president and CEO of the Saint John Airport. “I’m so happy to see the community support such an incredible event, and really a once in a lifetime opportunity.” Rain on Friday caused some concern for the air show’s schedule, but the weather cooperated for Saturday and Sunday. “We had a beautiful day yesterday and an equal day today,” says Edeburn. “It couldn’t have gone better.” More to come… For more New Brunswick news, visit our dedicated provincial page.
