One Calgarian welcomed the new season with a visit from some unexpected visitors in a park in the city’s northwest. Jessica Way was walking her dog, Geddy, on Tuesday at around noon when she spotted a mother moose walking along the river with her two babies in Bowmont Park. Video she captured shows three moose walking along the shore of the Bow River before going in for a dip. “We had been playing by the river two minutes earlier,” Way told CTV News. “I saw her with the two babies walking up the waterway, so I moved up onto the bridge and watched them walk underneath and then they swam and made their way up the river.” Geddy was “very excited” to see the creatures, she said, adding she took safety precautions to keep them both safe. “We got charged by a moose when he was a year old, so (we) kept a safe distance for sure.” She says she shared the video to TikTok and several other Calgarians recognized the mother moose from the area.
