Cape Breton man arrested after allegedly stealing $300K boat and trailer

A 43-year-old man from Cape Breton, N.S., has been arrested after allegedly stealing a boat and trailer worth roughly $300,000 from Shediac, N.B.

Cape Breton police reported information on the stolen property to Nova Scotia RCMP in 2025.

Officers executed a co-ordinated tactical traffic stop on Pointe-Du-Chêne Road in Shediac on June 10. There, they arrested the man and recovered the stolen property, according to a news release.

He was later released and is scheduled to appear in Moncton provincial court on Sept. 3.
